CTO Jay Graves Shares Advice for Beginning Programmers

Written by: on August 27, 2013

In a recent interview with AppCamp4Girls, our CTO Jay Graves gave some advice for young programmers:

What advice do you have for young people who want to make apps? Learn “the right way” to do things and try not to cut corners. Seek out people who have gone before you and learn from them. Get involved in structured learning like AppCamp4Girls or Pragmatic Studio (where I learned) or just pick up a good book and read it all the way through. This was my first one.

Jay’s full interview, including musings on how he became a programmer and his first iOS app can be found here.
